Coronavirus letter from Shapa Chairman

Dear Shapa Member

Following the recent announcements regarding the current Coronavirus and its implications on travel and meetings, the SHAPA council have agreed to postpone the Annual AGM and Awards Dinner for this year until we feel that the situation has come under control and the advice from the government has been relaxed. We also intend to cancel face to face meetings until the advice changes, we are sure that within your own businesses you are taking similar precautions.

The work of SHAPA will continue as normal and also be a source of information on both the Coronavirus situation and through our interactions how the UK government is stepping in to help and assist you in these uncertain times. To that end we intend to continue with the 2020 AGM and awards announcements and all meetings including both the Technical and Marketing subcommittees will use an online platform, details of which will be published later.

Throughout these challenging times SHAPA will continue to support your businesses through marketing and social media activities, making sure that your clients receive the correct advice and products for their projects. In addition, the business help line is still operation should you need specialist advice and not forgetting the constantly updated document library.

We will keep you updated as the situation changes and forward details regarding the online meetings as soon these are organised.
